July 2011 (July 16th - watch for signs) - ANNUAL PICNIC
The 2011 Annual Palomar Park Picnic was held this year July 16th as a block party on upper S. Palomar at the top of Cervantes. Last year the theme in 2010 was American BBQ and a Clifford School graduate who owns Emergency BBQ cooked our food on site for us! This year was completely different!
The 2011 picnic was a great success and we plan to repeat the same next year!

PAST PALOMAR PARK EVENTS
June 2011 - WORK PARTIES
We'll be wrapping up the name sign and name plaque repair project (this is only needed once over 30 years or more, so take advantage of this opportunity to be a part of history) this year. Likely dates will be June 11th/12th and June 25th/26th. Keep your calendars clear. We'll post more information in the newsletter when it gets closer to the dates.
2010 July Update: Work parties for the second phase of the Palomar Park sign board and name plaque repair were done in June and July. Many thanks to those volunteering their time and donating funds to help with this work - it's only every 30 to 40 years we need to do this - so please help as you can! View pictures from the 2010 project!
June 27:
Come join your neighbors on Sunday, June 27, for a Painting Bee to redo the Palomar Park name signs.
Everyone will gather to paint the routed name plaque letters white and touch up the brown background. We will paint in the morning and do any needed touch-ups or second coats in the afternoon. Have a good time and contribute to the neighborhood!
We will convene at 10 AM at Joe & Mollie Marshall's house (845 Palomar between Loma Court and Loma Road) and go until about 3 PM with a break for a pizza and salad lunch.
Please email " JoeMarshall at csi dot com " or call Joe at 650-367-6205 to sign up. It will help us plan if your get in touch soon. We would love to have you even if you can only participate for part of the time.
June 12, 13:
Sign deconstruction, prep, and construction: June 12 and 13.
